  Jehovah's Witnesses are not only oblivious to the fact that their org has changed the historical date of Jerusalem's destruction to 607 BCE, but also that their hierarchy can alter meanings in the English language! According to virtually every definition, the word CHRISTENDOM effectively means being a part of Christianity.

Now the pope and our priests (GB & elders) are telling us this is not the way to believe any more, but we are to believe ‘new things.’ How do I know the ‘new things’ will be the truth in five years?”

  JW Christians Are Supposed to be Good, BUT.....

  so, serving "the one true god" and being "in the truth" are supposed to make jw's better people.

  they are bringing their "truth" to people and that probably makes them feel that they are good to "worldly" people.but they do it to "get their time in.

  " they do it no longer in any life-saving mentality.

  I wonder how many ex-JW's on this forum have knowledge of elderly, faithful JW's who were basically dumped into nursing/retirement homes and were effectively abandoned and forgotten by 95% of their "brothers & sisters?"

  So much for the hallmark of Christians - "By this all will know that you are my disciples." I've seen rodents demonstrate more care and affection for ones in their commune.

  its been awhile since i've commented but i come by and read your posts about once a week.

  so why do i need a pep talk ?

  after almost 2 years into my fade these bastards won't give it a rest constant hang ups on my answering machine and today for the first time in about 6 months they come to my apartment complex but thankfully couldn't get in they did keep buzzing me so they were here looking for me.

  Don't live in fear and hide from these people. Confront the scumbags who are trying to confront you, and hit them with this:

  "Thank you for your concerns brothers, but I have private & personal issues which I can't discuss with anyone at the moment, but I certainly appreciate your motives and concern. If things change, I know that I can call you."

  picture 185,000 people on the streets attending the biggest event in long beach.

  there is a main downtown street which is the only way into the grand prix.

  it’s chaos because it is not private property that can be contained; these are working boulevards with cars and people vying to get where they want to go.

  Until recent years, the absolute priority of every JW was to preach the good news of the kingdom to as many people as possible, because the end was so close! If we didn't, we would be blood-guilty.

  The "publishing of the good news" has now been gladly discarded by many JW's who can easily achieve their required monthly report time by standing mute at the side of a trolley - saying nothing to anyone about anything.

  Their "witness" (aka marketing) is now to advertise the bright blue JW dot ORG logo.

  from 2012 thru 2016, congregations in georgia and alabama collected funds to build a new assembly hall in south atlanta.

  to date, 3.5 million dollars was collected and 75 acres was purchased.

  the branch decided that this assembly hall was not needed.
